Jamal Haydar received his Master’s degree in 2004, and his Ph.D in Computer Sciences and Telecommunications from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Sorbonne University), Paris-France in 2010. He is currently Associate Professor and Head of CCE department at the Faculty of Engineering in the Islamic University of Lebanon (IUL). His current areas of research include next generation wireless systems, VANETs and neural networks applications. He represents IUL in the Joint-Scientific Research Committee at the Universities Association Of Lebanon – UAOLB. He is at present the secretary of IEEE ComSoc Lebanon Chapter. He has been elected in 2016 as the president of the branch of electrical consultant engineers at the Order of Engineers and Architects – Beirut for three years, he served as Secretary General of OEA between April 2017 and April 2018. He is currently member of the board of directors of the International F​ederation for the Safety of Electricity Users (FISUEL).
